Car was tuned w/o VSS working.... bad?

Post by ITEracer »

Tuner never figured out why VSS wasn't working. He tuned car without it working properly. Does it need to be working for the ECU to work properly? It ran really nice when I first got it back from tuner. Vtec @ 5,500 in every gear. Now it seems to have power loss.

I get the VSS code every once in a while. Vtec still works. Could this affect they way the ECU works in any way??? The tuner said it didn't need to work, but I just want to make sure.

Tuner stated the fuel map is not gear dependant, and that the VSS is just there to give me a speedometer in the dash, which I don't use, and to give the gear reading into the hondalogger.
Still trying to make somethin outta nothin
