I just installed a P28 with an S300 in my 93 Accord with an H22A1 swap and I can't seem to find a decent base map to start with. I'm new to tuning ECUs and I was hoping that I could get a better starting point.

Engine specs are:
stock H22A1, Greddy header, 2 1/4" exhaust, AEM cold air intake and a lightened flywheel.

I've tried the Prelude map that came with the software and I've had several issues with it. I tried the US P72 (GSR) map and it seems to work a bit better, but I'm still having timing problems (knock) and it seems to be using a lot more fuel than the P13 I was running before.

Can anyone help me with a stock H22 base map that actually works? I'm going to have it dyno tuned soon, but I'm going to have to wait a few weeks before I can do it.

do you have a wideband? how can you tell it's running more fuel?

as for the map you need to tailor it to your car. if the car starts then you've got a base on which you can modify. since it's knocking try adding fuel or pulling a few degrees timing.

Thanks for the quick reply. I can tell it's running more fuel 2 ways... First, I can smell that it is running rich and the fuel gauge is dropping faster than usual.

Should I pull timing all across the map to see if I can reduce the knock? It does seem to knock at all rpm's, just more at the higher rpm's and at cruising speed (75 mph @ ~4k rpm).

I may actually be coming out to San Jose this weekend, so I may want to look you up if you're going to be available.
