Hi
I have the Face lift 2005 dc5 type R , Im not sure if this has been covered before , Does the facelift type R (2005) have the same ECU as the pre facelift Type R, ie 2001 - 2004 ?

To our knowledge it is the same, but you will need to open the ecu and read the number off the large processor inside. Post that and we can let you know...or post a picture of the inside of the ecu.

I want to ask the same question, I have a facelift DC5. I think it has a different ECU. (I presume you are from the UK, same as me) I know when I had the car ESVA tested the importer was going to change the ecu has it had a different number, he tried swapping it with a 01-04 ecu but it wouldn't run because the facelift DC5 has a built in imobilisor, hence key fob with alarm built in.

Anybody any news whether the ECU on a 2005 JDM integra type R can be K pro'd. I don't want to start opening up the ECU to look at the number. I am not that technical

To my knowledge it is the same as the previous years. You will need to post pictures of the inside of the ecu.

hey guys, I have PRC-J01 ECU now.
Chasis No. was DC5-230## and registered in '05.
It must be from 05 JDM ITR ECU.

Here are the information.
Word on PCB nearby the chip... T1Y-D3 001DD-L5003-00
Chip No was.... OKI L66Q592, 4532BA6G2

J160 (for fuel pump) was joined, R600 and R601 are not.
So it should be using the same pin for fuel pump as US models
because of imm.

Anyways I'm looking for a information if JDM 05- ITR's can be K-pro'd.

If any pictures from PCB is required, I can post

The ECU is the same and can be used for KPro.

I took my 2005 JDM integra to a Hondata tuner, they tried the JDM 2001-2004 Kpro on my car. it didn't work. They was no fuel getting through. As previous mentioned I think one of the pins must share with the imobiliser.
The US kpro worked though.

We have done these ecus here without any problems. They must be prepared just like any other JDM PRC ecu. They will work.
