Today I just tweaked the idle valve duty cycle adjustment about 2 notches from the center, during my upload, my car shut off. That was weird so i just let the upload finish up. After the upload, I tried starting the car and it will not start. The car crank up then dies....please help me determined what happened? Can I fix it? I've attached my tune parameters. thanks for the help

Clear security and upload a new calibration. We do not recommend uploading to the ecu when the car is running.

I've used another laptop, and updated the usb. Cleared the security, and tried uploading the new calibration. I recieved an upload error. Switch back to my other laptop, uploaded just fine but the car spluttered and died. :? I believe there is a software version conflict. Will find out soon enough

So if the tune was done on a .5 version, calibration was downloaded and saved, update the old version to .6 on the laptop and opening the .5 calibration for uploading will not work? Is it possible for me to just copy and paste all the tune setting from .5 to a .6 stock mapping then upload? Will this help me out any, or it will just be a waste of my time editting? thanks

Well i did it anyway, from notepad copied and pasted over to .6 version of kmanager. Lets hope it will fix my issue. Im not sure if you guys noticed in the parameters, the person that dyno tuned the car left some checks and changes things which im not sure if it is correct.
Such as:
The gearing ratio in the gear compensation tab, it is all off from our a 02-04 rsx type s gearing ratio.
Other things within the gear comp tab looks off.
Under the boost controller tab, he checked them...Im not running any force induction....???
Under Misc tab, he checked the no speed sensor...my car is not an 05, it is a 03.

Please advise based on the dyno tuned. Things needed to be corrected and change in order for my car to start...at least....thanks again for the support.

You must upload the calibration using version 1.2.1.6. If you try to upload using an oder version of software it will not upload. This is not a bug.

If you tried to upload an entire calibration while the car was runnign and you have corrubted the calibration, there is nothign that can be done and you will need to start from a new calibration. YOu can copy and paste your fuel and ignition values over, but the old calibration, once corrupted is now dead.

YAY! got it all worked out, thanks for the support. Just one more question and Im set. Attached is my calibration transferred from version 5 of kmanager. I can't upload my datalog, don't know why it wouldn't attach. I tried compressing into a zip file. Anyway, can you guys please take a look to see if it is running normally and i won't have issue down in the long run? thanks again

tried similar thing, but tried to re-upload the original (saved seperately) while key on/engine off and car wouldn't restart either. should i try clear security or has it corrupted both files? looking at the files in kmanager and the files appear to be fine, but is it corrupted during the upload into the ecu (scrambled or something)?

Try clearing security then uploading the calibration. IF that still does not work, then try a fresh calibration from File, new.

didn't clear security, but got the original file for the original tune and uploaded it and it fired right up.

one thing i noticed is that the downloaded file directly from the ecu didn't keep the boost table adjustments. i assume it cut that off when the corruption occured. the original file still has it. interesting that it does that. anyway to fix this bug? you have no choice but to download from ecu if the owner of the car doesn't have the original file and you're not the original tuner.

If the file is corrupted there is nothing you can do. Downloading from the ecu is used only as a last resort and may not work properly, hence all the warnings when you do it. Newer versions of software have been updated to try to make this better, but it still should only be as a last resort.

UPLOADING

my car turns off then i upload a whole map, and it take about a minute to do so- I was reading the help file and this seems normal there fore now I know not to have the car running while doing that...

however, what happens when u are tunning and you need to uploaded a quick change, lets say I added 10% fuel to a table, - do I need to shut off my car? I noticed the car hickups when i upload a quick change. so I have opted to rev it up a bit and quickly upload.

I just want to make sure I am doing the right thing.

It is recommended to turn the car off for all uploads. Sometimes you can upload small changes, but it's best not to try.
