Replace faulty ECU on Kpro?

Hi, I have a PRB ECU with the kpro mod. The ECU might be faulty, but I've still got to test it properly. If it is faulty and I buy another PRB ECU, can I just swap the ECU circuit board over?, or does Hondata make changes to the ECU circuit board when the kpro daughter board is fitted?

The ecu will have to be sent in to be prepared for the K-Pro. It will be $100 plus shipping.
