Having trouble setting up clutch switch

The car is an 01 GSR with a p28 and s200. I unplugged and removed the old clutch switch for the cruise control. I bought the switch recomended on the Hondata site and connected it to the wires from the s200. I held the button down with my thumb and revved the engine up, and it was bouncing at the launch rpm(it should only do that without the button pressed). Also at cruising speeds, the overall rev-limiter is now stuck at where the shift limiter would be(with the button held down). In the manual it says that this might happen but to just unplug the switch and retest. I did that and it didn't work. What do I do next? Thanks for any help, I really want to get this working.

Try the reset procedure. Also try using Hondalogger to set yoru settings and see if they work properly. You may also want to use a multimeter to test the continuty of hte switch you are using to make sure that it is working properly.
