Romeditor/Hondalogger 3.2.2.2 and Dell Inspiron 8200 laptop

Argghhh Im getting tired of hondalogger bitching at me complaining that the My Systems does not have datalogging capabilities, and when I hit OK, it all of a sudden starts to datalog!

I thought my laptop was crap, cause of the OS being bad and that the Romeditor would not connect with the hondalogger.

I decided to reformat my PC, and load only the necessary drivers for my computer to remove any conflict that may have existed.

I slap on the S200 into Com port 1, 9600 Baud, 8 bits, no parity, Stop bits 1, no flow control. hit the connect button on hondalogger, and Im greeted with an error message of "This system does not have datalogging" OK

And it works!

My next problem is the Romulator, the romeditor, and the software that is comes with.

I connect the Romulator to com port 1 with the same settings (at this point i have disconnected the s200 from the com port and replaced it with the romulator to make sure my USB to Serial interface wasn't crap) and then tell the Romeditor to download the ROM to the emulator. Com ports and everything match. Oh when downloading, the car is in the ON position. We then turn off the car after the download is complete (which takes about 3 seconds) and then turn it back on. Obviously it didn't work because the CEL is still up.

We matched the ECU, the Rom image is the newest image. So there wasn't that issue of incorrect ECU. The S200 box just blinks, obviously since the romulator didn't work.

The romulator itself, we replaced the long pings with the shorter ones to rule out the possibility of data fade. That didn't prove to work either.

This all leads me to my final question. Are Dell Laptops CURSED? I never had this problem with Romeditor 2.5 and Hondalogger 2.5, until I upgraded. Im even wondering if my s200 has hondalogging capabilities, since that message keeps popping up.
