I was just wondering if there are going to be any Vortech Supercharger "basemaps" for the B16 or B18 engines available anytime soon. I plan on getting a Vortech within 3 months and it would be pretty handy to have some of these around .
Everyone at hondata has been very helpfull and I thank you guys for a great product.
I second this! I'm getting a intercooled vortech SC for my b16A and all the SC basemaps are for the JRSC. I'm also looking into investing over $1200 into the hondata system with programmer etc. But I need a baseline to work from.
LiLOtaku's post was a year ago, so do I assume there will be none added for the Vortech?
Due to the style and powerband of the Vortech, why couldnt you use a turbo car map? The Vortech is a turbo on a stick, I dont see why it would be a problem.
If it's an issue of getting the car to start, then your tuner should have supplied a basemap to get the car started and to them. If you are looking for a tuned map that is "safe" to boost on, good luck. I dont know any tuner that is willing to send a map and just say, yep it worked on this one car this one time at this one place. There are too many variables to take into consideration.

I provided drvtec with a basemap off a turbo car, yet I was more wondering about the load differences between a supercharger and a turbo.

If your tuner knows what he is doing a "basemap" should have already been done. If you cant afford to be tuned right now, the tuner should at least burn a basemap with the boost cut enabled at 1psi. If nothing else, put stock injectors back in it and either a stock map or stock ECU and DO NOT BOOST until you get it to be tuned.
