Hondata ReFlash (first UK ones)

Post by Trung_EP3CTR »

I'm about to get Hondata ReFlash (swapping ECU) within a couple of days.
I've tested it today and there are a few issues that I want to get sorted.

First of all, it's the very first ReFlash which Doug sold at his first UK seminar few years ago. Doug wasn't aware of the UK ECU being different to US so the immobilisor was disabled. Doug visited UK a few months after and was able to turn on the immobilisor for all those who've bought the Flash first time round. The person who I'll getting the Hondata ReFlash from never got around to visit Doug on his 2nd trip to UK.

So can any Hondata dealer enable the immobilisor for me?
Since the ECU is from a different car, once the immobilisor is enabled. Will I have to get my keys re-coded?

Secondly, I can't get any readings on my Blitz R-VIT and the CEL (which suppose to turn on with decat/race manifold) stays off.
I think the owner said the OBD II port has been turned off?!?
If it's true, Can it be turned on?
My 35,000mile service is coming up very soon and my Honda dealer are going to be scratching their heads if they can't get any readings from OBD II :/

The immobilizer cannot be enabled unless the ECU is reflashed again.

The OBDII port shoudl still be operational with the reflash. Try the Blitz on another vehicle to check.

In that case, can the immobilizer be enabled once I've upgraded to K-pro?
The Blitz R-VIT does work because it's currently working with my stock ECU and on a friend's K-pro ECU.

Yes, with the K-Pro you can enable or disable the immobilizer and OBD2.
