Completeing a setup for use on a Vortech s.c. application. In the process of converting ecu to obd-I and had a couple of concerns I hope to have resolved. My current setup is a B16 '99 SI with ITR cams and vailvetrain. I have a SKUNK2 i.m. and all the other basic bolt-ons. My question: Can I tune out the overlap on the cams using cam gears so it will work in conjunction with a s.c. setup? I'm only planning on running up to 9,000 RPM's. All I want to know is can this work well?

i dont know that the ITR valvetrain is safe to 9K.

but i have a friend that runs 15+ psi on a b16 w/ ITR cams in a 90 hatchback. He never had any problems with the overlap. dyno time and adjustable cam gears are a must.

Thank you pills_PMD for posting a reply. I probibly won't go to that extreme 9,000 rpm mark, but I will go to about 8,600rpm. I just wanted to get feedback on F.I applications using a set of ITR cams on a B16 engine.[/b]
