FJO injector driver / Romulator / Solid CEL

Post by JKOBD »

Has anyone used the FJO injector driver box and tried to romulate? I am using the pocket romulator and am getting solid cel every time. I have tried two different ecus. Car runs great when I burn the bin to the chip. All my software works fine when I tune other cars. The only thing that was changed from the last time I tried to romulate until now was the fjo driver.

Cliff notes:

-Anyone use the FJO injector driver with the pocket romulator?
-Car runs great on the burned chip/bin.
-Pocket romulator shows connected, cycles the main relay, but solid cel remains even after cycling the key.
-Software, laptop, pocket romulator, everything...works great on other cars.
-Can datalog with my laptop and the hondalogger.
-I get a long flashhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, led goes out shortly and returns

Try using the Romulator software from transtronics to upload the file to the romulator. If the problem persists, try removing the injector driver and see it the problem goes away, if it does not, contact Transtronics.

It says that it has uploaded successfully everytime. Cycles the main relay and everything.

And does the car start, datalog and the red light stay solid on the interface. What exactly have you done? Quoting what i said did't really explain anything.

Stays in limp mode. Solid CEL and the hondata box flashes the same.

With the rom burned and installed in the ecu, the car runs great, hondata box does not flash and I can log via hondalogger.

The romulator says its connector when I have the key on and in the correct com port. Ctrl W, cyles the main relay. Solid CEL remains. Cycle the key and solid CEL remains, Hondata box flashes long and turns off for a very short time and repeats. Green light is on in the romulator.

Tried everything but remove the FJO. Was hoping to fix it without having to remove it.

So you're saying you downloaded the Transtronics Romulator software and it still didn't work? If that is the case then you will need to try removing the FJO and if it still does not work you should contact Transtronics.

Yes. Still did not work. I have already contacted Transtronics and they gave me the pull soft / pull hard deal, but that didn't work. I took Friday off so I could make it to a race so I will work on it then and see if I can make some progress.
