Uploading an older version of K-Manager

Post by BlownSi05 »

i just had my car tuned on the dyno with version 1.2.0.1 of k-manager. that version came on a disk when my buddy ordered his k-pro over a year ago. the version i currently have is 1.2.1.2. i had the tune back on my computer and had to re-upload it cause when he finished tuning, i had a cel code from the ecu and the immobilizer light was blinking even though it was enabled. now i got rid of the cel and the immobilizer is fine, but for some reason the car doesnt feel the same as when the tune was just finished. so what im wondering is if there is a way to wipe the new version out of the ecu and revert back to that version that was used for the tune. i know that when he reloaded the tune that the version number stayed as 1.2.1.2 on the ecu, which made it throw the cel again for malfunction in the ecu. it might be something easy that i just overlooked, but i wanted to find out for sure. thanks

You should never go back to an older version. The most recent release version of software should always be used to upload you calibration. Did you read the program out of the ecu, or did you have the file already on your laptop. It is also not a good idea to try and read the program out of the ecu, as this is very unreliable and may cause problems.

if you upgrade to a new version. you need to first, open your tune. then save it (to update it to new version.) then double check the tune to make sure no parameters change (as they do quite often)
