ok so we installed my Kpro. Now my Speedometer is not working and my mileage froze i guess. Im not gaining any miles. It could be a plus but definately not legal so i need to get this problem fixed ASAP. Same with my Speedometer problem. No idea how fast im going. How can i get this fixed? I installed the Kpro with a 04 ECU and 04 Primary o2 sensor. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Did you enable the 'counter shaft driven speed sensor' option in KManager?

Has the ECU been modified to work with the 05 RSX?

Can you datalog a speed from KManager?

yea i have that checked already. I bought my Kpro w/ harness from Clubrsx and gave the papers with the box and it said 05. So im assuming it was. If not can i call Hondata and give them the # on the box i got and find out?

I helped him do some datalogs yesterday and in kmanager the speed reads fine

What is the K-Pro serial number, or the ECU serial number? Was it working with the K-Pro before dynoing?

i dont have the box with me for the serial number but the speedometer wasnt working when we installed it. I will have the box tomorrow its at my friends house where we installed it. We didnt dyno tune it yet it was street tuned a little.

Well I am experiencing the same problem. I got the ecu ordered via ClubRSX as well. Any help is very appreciated hondata!

Was your ECU modified for the 05 RSX, and have you enabled the countershaft driver speed sensor? Do you have any other error codes?

Edit: Is this for a base RSX? If it is then download the beta KManager and use that version.

Yes. I have an '05 rsx 5-speed. The speedometer and miles will work if I upload the type-s kal but the injectors and everything else is setup for k20z1 motor. I will try tomorrow the beta software. thanks.

Well I installed the latest beta kmanager and uploaded the 5-speed 91 octane kal, the speedometer moves now but not like it should. if i am going at lets say 60mph it shows 30mhz. have tried different numbers for the 2005 option but nothing changes. plus the miles will change by itself when the car is parked and the option "NO SPEED SENSOR - PROVIDE CONSTANT SPEED SIGNAL" is unchecked. Dunno what to do.

1. Uninstall KManager. 2. Download the beta again (please do this step, even if you have just download the beta). 3. Install KManager. 4. Upload a calibration. 5. Email a datalog if you still have any problems.

Here is what I did:

1. Uninstalled Hondata software and removed its folder after the uninstall was complete.
2. Downloaded and installed the latest beta software v1.2.1.4 from hondata forum.
3. Turned the car key to level II.
4. Connected notebook to ECU.
5. Erased ECU using kmanager.
6. Loaded the 89-base-rsx-dyno-tuned kal to kmanager.
7. Enabled "Countershaft driven speed sensor (2005 RSX)" option and left at 0%.
8. Disabled Immobilizer.
9. Disabled OBDII.
10. Changed idle to 850 rpm.
11. Uploaded the kal to the ecu.


The speedometer shows that I am driving at 30mph but kmanager says 60mph (60 being the correct speed) and the odometer clock is moving by itself while the car is parked.

This is the 89-base-rsx-dyne-tuned kal with the modifications mentioned above.

I am going to try to upload my first datalog 2nite.

I still think you're using an older version - it could be your ISP caching the file. I'll change the version number of the software tonight to 1.2.1.5, so try again tomorrow morning. The reason is that the half speed problem is something which we identified and fixed.

alright. I will be waiting for the v1.2.1.5.... I could also try on a different laptop never used with kmanager before if that helps. thanks.
