Getting rid of thrown codes
Posted: Wed Jan 11, 2006 3:01 pm
ok so i got my CEL read and printed out on paper. here go the codes:
P0172 - System too rich (bank 1).... makes sense.. primary o2 sensor reads more fuel than normal due to DCRH
P0138 - Circuit High Volts (bank 1 sensor 2)... i think there is an "O2 sim" in there that i may pull out... not sure if that'll fix it
P0139 - Circuit Slow Response (bank 1 sensor 2)... maybe same as above. pull O2 sim.
If there's anyone that can verify the k-pro will remedy this situation, please let me know. I'm going to try to get the K-pro paid for by the dealership under warranty (all these bolt on's weren't advertised until after i bought the car... including race header which deletes cat and is illegal to sell.. so i have them by the testicles).
It's weird that I've got a super rich situation when most people are talking about being really lean.
Anyways... thanks for your time and if the k-pro can fix this, let me know. I want to order ASAP!
note: if this is the wrong forum, feel free to move. my first post and i'm not too familiar with this forum.
