Installing K-Pro and base map questions

Post by rbarbera75 »

2002 RSX-S
I just sent in my ECU to hondata, I purchased the full K-Pro.

My question is when I receive the ECU back from Hondata can I just plug it back in and start driving my car? What map does Hondata program it with or will I have to upload a map to the ECU before I can drive my car? If one is uploaded by Hondata is it the one called "k20a2-rsx-stock"?

I have a stock 2002 RSX-S and was wondering what the "k20a2-rsx-stock-tuned" map is? Is it basically the same one thats provided with the reflash? So I should just be able to put that one in and expect my car to be driveable or will it mess my car up?

Thanks in advance for help.

All K-Pro's are shipped with the stock calibration with the immobilizer dissabled. YOu can use any calibration you would like. There is a description of each calibration in the c-manager software when you go to file New.

so its shipped with the one labeled "k20a2-rsx-stock.kal"? I had looked at this one be it actually shows that the immobilized is enabled.

Then if I wanted some added power on a stock k20a2 with no modification done on my car then I would use the one labeled "k20a2-rsx-stock-tuned.kal"? Can I use this without harming my car?

I just want to get some added power gains until I get my turbo installed and then obviously professionaly tunned.

Thanks
