Hey guys. Im pretty new to tuning and i have a 2000 si. I have loaded the base maps but for some reason the idle wont stand still. It will bounce sometimes. sometimes be good. Its weird. I have an FJO and it is around 13.0 at idle. Usually what do most cars with stock injectors idle at? Thanks for the help guys.

Idling problems have several causes.
Leak in the intake system, timing adjustments and fuel adjustments, not to mention TPS adjustments.
I have done several systems and most cars are idling fine some had to idle higher because of the cams and A/C problems.
A/C idling problems are probably due to the wiring since it affects PR3 ECUs only. Not enough knowlegeable wiring installs.
WIth your case, your idle mixture is too rich. Should be at 14.7:1 or closer.
Then check your timing. see to it that there is not too much variation in timing at idle.
Please don't expect the base maps to run great the first time. Some adjustments may be needed fit your application.

well here is what i did. I got the idle as good as i could get it in open loop. I switched to closed loop and the idle is like 14.5 or so and is much better. i havent touched any timing maps what so ever and my tps is at .46 at idle. In most cases can you get the car to idle perfect while still in open loop?
thank you for the help

I can't say perfect idle but acceptable especially with wild cams. HOw high is your idle speed and what cams are you using?
