Is there a way to control alternator output AMPS?

I was wondering can that be controlled??
I see it always at 56+ amps on the swaps..
Won't it be better if you lower it gasmileage etc..??
Just a thought..

The ECU is controlling the alternator - look at the battery voltage. However, the ECU cannot determine the vehicle current consumption without the correct vehicle ELD and shows an arbitary value.

so is there a way to wire it up?
I have an integra 95 with kpro.
in theory will it improve gas mileage??
I don't think the car needs 56amps continually.
