Knock Sensor Light

In the settings, the knock sensor has the ability to flash the MIL whenever knock is encountered. I always thought that the MIL meant the Maintenance Interval Light but instead it flashes the CEL (Check Engine Light). Is this normal behavior for KPRO on the 2005 RSX?

The mil and cel are the same thing as I understand it -- mil is "malfunction indicator lamp" and people sometimes call it a "check engine light" or cel because it's shaped like an engine.
