Stock Wideband longevity is horrible please HONDATA!

let us use a 3rd party sensor to get the tuning done

I have a stock wideband and PLX and my stock of course already died

thats ridiculous and its like 200 bucks a pop

is there NO WAY we can PLEASE use the third party widebands to tune. for GODS SAKE PLEASE I am BEGGING!

I've seen people use voltage based widebands by using the secondary o2 inputs. They then datalogged and charged the so2 voltage and used that to tune with. They had a chart from the wideband maker that told them what voltage meant what a/f. Once you look at the chart a few times, it was easy to know that it needed to be between a certian two voltage levels to be in the desired a/f range. Obviously this wouldn't allow closed loop operation.

I am willing to pay for this upgrade considering that every stock wideband is 200 bucks and I have had to buy 3 already

Why is it that your o2 sensors keep going? How long do they generally last? It seems that for the majority of people, the sensor just lasts and lasts, yet for a few people, the sensors keep going out over and over again. Is it potentially something with how the o2 sensor is located in the exhaust? Have you considered putting it in only for tuning and running in openloop mode with it out if your car keeps killing them?

How is your other o2 sensor mounted in relation to the factory o2 sensor? Perhaps that bung is a better location.
