Hondata for D16Y7? The whole package for ecu/engine tuning?

I recently purchased a 99 Civic lx. Now I'm not too concerned with a hell of a lot of horsepower I just want to know that the car will perform, I have plans. Anyway to the punchline, is the Hondata and it's components for total ecu control i think it's the 4b package, appliable to this engine and car setup. Also I was thinking of just swapping the D series vtec in. Would it apply to that also? I'm going to go all motor and I want it to be as perfect for my racing enthusiam as possible. As far as any other questions, I have a dell setup for windows xp professional ed, will the rom editing and hondata software run on this setup?
I would greatly appreciate any comments or suggestions.

i think you'd want a b series engine if you plan an all motor application.. not the d series
