Engine cut during shifting.

I'm not sure if this is doable, but would it be possible to wire up the two clutch pedal sensors to the ECU to cut engine power allowing a full throttle shift with minimal transmission stress?
there is a clutch switch that tells the car when the clutch pedal is initially pressed (used to turn off cruise control) and a clutch switch that tells the car when the clutch is fully depressed (used to enable starting of car). Are those switches wired into the ECU?
It would be nice to have the ignition cut when the first switch is off and then restored when the second switch is off.
Is this possible within the ecu? I assume not since the two clutch switches are not listed among the availible sensors.
