That old (?) purge valve problem P28/B18C1

Ahhh, my second problem...

**Purge Valve**

Problem: The purge valve[solenoid] (according to the Hondalogger) never comes on.

What I've tried:
Datalogging for a full hour around town and on the highway shows the purge valve never is commanded ON. Opening up the gas cap releases pressure in the tank.
Disconnecting the electrical plug when the car is at idle (low) in the driveway, without any effect (it wasn't on). Checked the voltage, got 12 VAC at the plug (?). Could ground the (-) side of the valve to get it to come on.
Disconnecting the vacuum hose when the car is at idle (low) in the driveway- the idle increases (vacuum leak) with the hose off- so it's connected OK

Results/Problems
I'm using the purge valve from the '00 B18C1, not the original with the DelSol. They are both 12VDC. According to information I have (Haynes Manual) the purge valve on a P28 ECU is supposed to open when the car is above 3000 RPM and the TPS sensor greater than 5%. What gives?

It's working OK, HondaLogger is not datalogging it correctly or your TPS is out of adjustment.

Um, OK, but the TPS is OK... 0.45V to whatever 102% is. Works great. I just have a lot of pressure bleed out of the tank when I take the cap off... but it is a hybrid, so everything is set up like the '95 integra...

i never saw mine logged either. I got so frustrated thinking that evap was the cause of my hesitation, I took the whole canister out and capped the lines. Never did fix the problem. oh well, don't need the evap anyway. Just beware when you open your gas cap though it really wooshes out fumes.
