The vtec is opening at 3000 rpm and it gives 26.5 ps it is very intresting.

You lost hp when you removed the cat and installed better exhaust. I bet you were leaning out and losing power, or at a very minimum, the cam angles were no longer optimal. This is a good indication, in my opinion, that a good base map or tune was needed to see much of the potential of that motor.

Did you have the toda header as well?
