As everyone may know, Honda stock fuel systems are efficient up to a point. As for K-series I would like to know when an upgrade to the stock fuel system should be considered. Granted that upgrading before neccessary is perfectly alright.
I have a CN stg.1 on my 02 Si running Guardian E.I. and no upgrades to my stock fuel system were required, I thought this was amazing. I have been running over a year now with racing my car at the track boosting as much as 10psi with Guardian. Stock fuel system, other than 550cc injectors. No return fuel line, No upgraded in-tank or in-line pump.
The time has come for me to get a K-Pro and a custom tune. I am astonished at all the features you get for its' cost, not to mention the fact that tuning is essentially reprogramming the stock Honda ECU . (The best tuning IMO)
My question is, when does it become neccessary or even a good decision to upgrade the fuel sytem components such as the pump, fuel rail, return line, etc? How long can I ensure reliability and safety utilizing my stock fuel components? In other words, at stg.1 boost levels, How do I know I can depend on the stock fuel components?
Thank you,
Evan
