With K-Pro and the base calibration, what is the redline increased to? I have heard 8500 and 8600. Which is it?
the revlimit for the base cal for the k20a2 is 8100 for stock...the stock tuned one is 8600. But if you want the base base base rsxQuick Silver wrote:With K-Pro and the base calibration, what is the redline increased to? I have heard 8500 and 8600. Which is it?
Ok....redline on an '02-04 RSX-S (stock) is what?02SilverSiHB wrote:the revlimit for the base cal for the k20a2 is 8100 for stock...the stock tuned one is 8600. Oh dude... hahaha.. I totally missed what you were asking for!Quick Silver wrote:Hondata where are you? LOL!
One of you must know the answer to my question.
There is the type of answer I was lookin for. Now, what is the "stock-tuned" cal? Just like it sounds? No bolt-ons what-so-ever and custom tuning the ECU?Razathorn wrote:Oh dude... hahaha.. I totally missed what you were asking for!Quick Silver wrote:Hondata where are you? LOL!

The stock rev limiter in the 02-04 rsx k20a2 is 8100, the redline is 7900.
My K-Pro came with a factory/stock k20a2-rsx and a tuned k20a2-rsx calibration. In addition, there is a k20a2-rsx-coldair calibration, which is basically a slightly more refined version of the #4 reflash. You can obviously change the rev limiter on any calibration at will, but in their default settings, they are:
rsx-stock: 8100
rsx-stock-tuned: 8600
rsx-coldair: 8600
Got me... but yeah that's what I'd assume. The difference between stock tuned and coldair tuned could be quite a bit. The reason I say that is the stock air system is pretty restrictive, regardless of the relative temp of the air coming in. When you change the intake on the car you are changing a few things for the engine.Quick Silver wrote:There is the type of answer I was lookin for. Now, what is the "stock-tuned" cal? the stock tuned is much better than the stock cal. It smoothes the transition to vtec. Fuel/ignition/cam and vtec are changed...as well as rev limit.Quick Silver wrote:There is the type of answer I was lookin for. Now, what is the "stock-tuned" cal? Just like it sounds?
