TIP for old slow laptop datalogging

Figured I would pass this on: If you are getting a low frame rate in your datalogs, like 13 or so a second like I was, datalog with all windows except 'Display' open. This raised my rate to 50 frames a second, which is what other people reported getting with their laptops. The real time graph was the biggest offender and caused the most lag. Having the tables follow cam and vtec also causes lag... so close em all except display and you're golden.
I was datalogging with a really nice fast laptop, but moved to an old 266mhz rock solid toshiba from back in the day that is still going with win2k. The reasons are mainly that this thing is solid/strong and I can keep it in the car most of the time, and it's not worth much in case it gets damaged and nobody misses it around the house since it's so old. It's basically my kmanager laptop now.
So, hondata, here's your low end system requirements working fine
266 mhz pentium
96 megs of ram
windows 2k
4 gig drive
50 frames a second datalog
software is VERY usable, quick, and snappy
only thing slow was datalogging with graph and other windows open
