I have a obd1 b18b...I'm putting it in my 96 obd2 hatch. My question is will the obd1-obd2 adapter work/plug in if i use my stock DX ecu and stock DX wiring harness? Is my motor going to run properly?

The OBD-I/OBD-II adapter is what allows you to plug your OBD-I B18B ECU into your DX wiring harness, so you can swap in the B18B. You don't need your stock DX ECU after that.
