Tuning JDM b18C-R

Post by CivicVTi »

I just want to have a base map for the JDM b18C-R. I have tuned the AF ratio with a wideband. I would like to know what you guys recommend for ignition values in high map, full throttle. I want to have a good base before going to a dyno. Currently I run 25degrees at WOT just to be on the safe side.

This isnt an exact formula, but typically anywhere from 28-30 degrees tapered down the rpm range. Now, on some cars I have seen them benefit from less timing, some required more. It really will help when you strap it down, make a pull on your timing map, then adjust it. Then you can see the gains if any by adjusting the timing.

Also depends on what octane you are running. I would never run those values on 87 :)
