My car has been acting funny for a couple of months now. When I dont have the AC on it idles normal. Now when I turn on my AC it is not able to idle very well. It goes down to like 500rpm or less everytime I press the clutch and try to come to a stop. Its very weird that it does this mainly when the AC is on.
Also the car has died out on me multiple times with the AC on. Most times when i'm trying to make U turn and sometimes when i'm trying to come to a stop. Any and all help would be appreciated.
Car stalls with AC ON. HELP PLEASE

Its definately a factory AC unit. I have not messed around with any of that stuff. How the heck do I check the ACC clutch input at the ECU? lolCivicVTi wrote:Is your AC a honda factory one or aftermarket? Check the your ACC clutch input at the ECU. THe ECU should receive a signal when the clutch is engaged and should raise the idle.
WHen you say engaged do you mean when the clutch is depressed?
First, you need to tell us what vehicle/engine you have and what system you are using.
When the AC is on the engine will run a little richer. If it is already a bit rich, then it might drop the idle a little. However, it is likely that increasing the idle duty control slider a couple of notches to the right will fix you problem.

I have a 2003 RSX-S. K20A2 with DC CAI, DCRH, COMPTECH EXHAUST, HONDATA IMG, and KPRO.
I am using the cold air calibration but I have tuned the cam angles and all the goodies to run perfectly on my car.
Yesterday I tried the idle control valve and I will report back in the next couple of days to see how it is work out. Thank you Hondata for posting.
