I was wondering about how the shift limiter is supposed to work. My friend says to set it at 6500 RPM so when I shift at redline, the RPMs don't drop below 6500 RPM. Is this true, or do I need to set it higher so it doesn't bounce off the rev limiter?

By using full throttle shift, you will be 'bouncing off the rev limiter' during shifts, but you'll be doing it at a designated RPM [say, 6500]. This is how Hondata keeps your revs up. Why are you afraid of a rev limiter?

So setting the shift limiter at 6500 will keep the revs from dropping below 6500, correct?

As long as you keep the throttle at WOT. full throttle shift sets a temporary rev limiter.
