Hey, I wanted to see if anyone had any pointers for replacing window regulators.
From the best that I can tell, I can leave the glass in the car as long as I have access to lower bolts that hold the glass to the upper regulator rail.
My questions:
Is there a predetermined height I should have the glass before unplugging power? I think I can loosen these bolts and then shift the regulator to the side and the upper rail off and remove the old, broken regulator.
Does the power window motor need to be reattached at a specific spot on the crank mechanism, allowing full motion upon install? Or does the motor simply operate in an up/down motion and relies upon pressure points/stops to stop moving up and down?
Thanks
Russ
