hey i have been searching for a while but i really can find anything solid on this issue. i have a 93 prelude si with a h22a swap. i baught the p28 hondata ecu and the base s200 setup. what my problam is, there is no tuners for hondata withen at least 5 hrs from me. all i want to do is be able to make sure that the car is running "safe". is there a way that i can burn the basemap myself? and is there any basemaps for this motor? and is there anything elese i need to worry about when i get my setup in a few days? where can you learn about bruning your own ecu...so i can put my own basempas on.???
thanks for the help

To be able to tune the car yourself, you will need a minimum of an s200, datalogging, a Pocket Programmer and Romeditor. Details on tuning can be found at

Your IAB's will not work. Your ECU will not use the knock sensor. The H22 uses larger injectors than the D16, but I'm not sure if this will affect the drivability or not.
You're best off to stick with the stock ECU until you get tuned. If you're itching to throw it in and just can't wait...try it out...see if the car will even idle.

Your best bet on getting a ROM burned [a basemap] is to telephone a dealer/tuner. You'll either have to ship them a blank ROM or purchase one from them...I'm not sure if you will be charged for the basemap.

I don't know what you worked out but running an untuned civic fuel map on a prelude motor is a bad idea. Not enough fuel for the bigger motor.

actually the 340cc 'lude injectors just about make an even wash vs. the smaller displacement of the d16. but tuning is a must regardless.
