hey i have a 1993 prelude si with a h22 swap in it. and i want to run a hondata s200 system in it. i know that i need a new ecu but what i was wpndering is what one do i need? and dose hondata make on that is pre chipped?
There are no pretuned chips. You will have to have it tuned on the dyno by a Hondata dealer. You can use any of the compatible OBD1 ecus from the list at http://www.hondata.com/ecus.html.
i ordered a p28 ecu from a dealer and they said that it would be all set to work in my prelude..... i had to order one since the closest dealer that i could go buy one from is about 4.5 hours away..... what am i going to need to do when i get the chipped p28 ecu to make it work in my prelude?
ok. thanks but what do you mean by safely? will it work for a while until i can get on a dyno in the comming weeks? is there anything that i should be concerned about? i dont see why the delaer i baught it from said it would work just fine when i get, he never said anything about having to tune it on a dyno.......ih ya i forgot to mention that i am running pretty much a stone stock setup for now.... i dont know is that matters or not?
