I just bought a hondata 4b setup, and I was attempting to read the CD, and try to make a copy of it, so I can store it for safe keeping.

However, the CD Can not read a single file.
the path is

/www/downloads/hondata-56.rm

I have tried on multiple cd-rom drives, and they all faulter on copying this one file. Is this an important file, if so, how can I retrieve this copy. Do you need a serial number from me on the hondata to confirm my purchase, pictures, anything. Please let me know.. I am about to start my installation this weekend, and need to know if this file is important or not.

you can email me the 4.99 megabyte file to my address
simonian@library.ucr.edu, i have unlimited quota, so there is no problems emailing it to me.

Help!

are you trying to burn the CD to have a spare copy?

i would assume that hondata does not allow this CD to be burned so other people can't get it without purchasing a stage 4 system.

nope..
i got the CD already.. it turns out that the file that won't copy to my hard drive is a real media file.

Im not too worried.

But yes, after paying 1000 dollars for my setup, I would like to have copies of the CD because i am sure there are files there that can't be had from the web site.

and i don't think there is any copy protection on the cd to prevent burns. But if people think I just bought this setup only to freely distribute the files from it, boy are people going to feel stupid.

Don't worry about making backups. The CD contains the website, RomEditor and HondaLogger. HondaLogger is available on the website (under downloads). RomEditor (and HondaLogger) are available from the user area (which is for RomEditor V3 owners). If you do not have a login for the user area, contact us at support@hondata.com with your details (including s200 serial #, invoice number if possible, date of purchase, who you purchased it from).

are you saying that the user area is not for hondata non s-200 users anymore :?: Or is it just cause my purchase is so new, that I couldn't have bought a non s-200/s-100 :?:
