NEED HELP! No VSS want to use s200

Like the topic says, I've got an aftermarket LSD with no drive for a VSS. I'm not sure if the VTEC will engage since the ECU will be looking for some speed before actuating the VTEC. Anybody know of a fix? Thanks in advance.

Aftermarket VSS? I saw a guy on H-T using one...he mounted the pickup on the back of the block and the magnet on his halfshaft.

What LSD are you using? How are you blocking off your VSS hole? Can you add a VSS gear?

I've got the hole plugged with a electronic vss. Unfortunatly the Clutch type LSD I've not yet been able to identify (it came with the swap I purchased) doesn't have a drive for the vss. Now I'm guessing the previous owner got around this with some kind of chip.

 I like the thought of a homemade vss, got a link to the post? did the thing really work?

another idea is to use an anti-lock brake hub/pickup and maybe use a divider circuit... i can't remember for sure but the vss and alb signals are different by a factor of 10.

i have a customer running one of the magnetic p/u style that you are talking about on his nissan. works great for his application.

RMS, isn't the VSS output a 5V square wave? I'd do some searching for a magnetic pickup style VSS that has these characteristics and use that if you are unable to install a VSS drive gear onto the LSD. It's possible the person just didn't install the drive gear and that you could do this yourself. I doubt any LSD company would make one that didn't allow you to retain your VSS.

What vehicle are you using this in? Does your car use a speedometer cable [VSS in the custer] or is your VSS electronic [on the tranny]?
