Base Maps H22A?

Post by Keith »

Hey guys,

This past weekend, I had my car on the dyno, tuning my Hondata S200 for the first time. Actually, the shop was tuning it but we struggled to my ANY progression with the power. My stock ECU set up is a Spoon program which runs slightly rich but yields me with good hpr + tq numbers... after running 24 pulls on the dyno, we fail to make any improvements using the Hondata unit. We tried running lean, running rich, changing injector size, advancing and retarding timing, changing the VTEC engagement point, etc... with NO LUCK.

I called Hondata asking for if they had any base maps but they didn't have any to offer (nor did they seem interested in the topic as since there is apparently no market for H22A motors... I wonder why... ).

Anyhow, I could post the dyno plots but if anybody could help with emailing me a base map for an H22A engine or posting some suggestions, it would be much appreciated. :)

turbo car?
i've tuned my own and other prelude turbo cars with hondata and i can tell you that the maps supplied by hondata are worthless and will get you nowhere (not sure why they are so bad). in any case, best to start from scratch like any tuning job. i've had no problems.

sorry, i wont share my rom files due to liability issues.

If you need a turbo map, I've got a couple for V2.5 that you can convert. If you need a NA map, can't help you since I need a good NA map in V2.5, since Hondata won't give me V3 even though I'm a Stage 4 owner. All I really need is a good base timing map in V2.5, so if anyone can help, send me an e-mail.

270cc or 340cc injectors?
i'll contribute a good euro h22 NA map for 270cc (stock '96 up) injectors (as a base map with all the disclaimers and yada yada yada.... :) nothing for boosted Hs though.
