S200 problems

Post by dnatrance »

Ok I have a p72 ecu that I tried putting the hondata in... I put the small chip in, socket, put the resistor with the one black bar on j1 and cut j12. The hondata chip is facing towards the harness and the engine starts in limp mode... now if I put in a skunk 2 chip, it works fine.

Now I saw in the instructions that can be if you do not have the correct chip for your ecu... when I ordered the system I just asked them to put a type r base map... they didnt ask me what ecu I was putting it in. does that matter? do they have to program it around which ecu you have?

if not what the hell is wrong with it?

It sounds like you either have no basemap or have an incorrect one. Contact your dealer for a proper basemap.
