Unable to upload basemap / red flashing light when plugged in

-BMW e30 k24a2 swap
-serial 67970
-kpro v4 version 4.6.1.0
-37820-PND-A56
-I am using a kpower conversion harness and main harness
-got the kpro a few months ago and just got around to installing it

The ECU will not receive a tune. The USB drivers say they are installed, but when I do a USB test it says there are no devices available.
I have checked to see if their is power going from the main relay to the ECU and there is. When the ECU is plugged into the computer a red light flashes inside of the ecu.
If anyone has any input it would be much appreciated.

Have you tried the ECU on a known working vehicle to see if it works there?
