Unlocked/returned to stock, but Flashpro still shows VIN number. Need to "Factory Reset" FlashPro. How?

I have a friend who is selling his car and now needs to sell his FlashPro so I helped him unlock it from his car and wipe all the registration information from it (using the dialog that was provided after unlocking it from his car). Everything seems to have unlocked, but in the information screen for for the FlashPro it is still showing the VIN to his car. We need to wipe the FlashPro completely clean with no traces of personally identifiable information.

How do we do that? If not currently possible please give us a tool or utility to properly wipe any PII from the FlashPro.

If they did not choose the option to delete registered user information when unlocking then it will still show. There is no utility for this.

Yes, as I indicated, we did execute that option to delete registered user information after we performed the unlock/return to stock operation.

As you can see, all of the user registration information is gone but the VIN and calibration details still appear. There are no calibrations showing in either the Primary or Secondary Calibration locations on the Calibrations tab of the FlashPro window, either.

That is because you plugged it in to the vehicle. There is no way to remove that.

So let me make sure I understand:

First setup of FlashPro:
1) Purchase FlashPro
2) Connect FlashPro to vehicle
3) Lock FlashPro to vehicle
4) upload calibration(s), use as normal


Now, when it comes time to sell or trade the car:
1) With FlashPro connected to vehicle and laptop, select "Online -> Return ECU to Stock"
2) once the ECU has been reflashed to stock, select "Online -> Unlock from Vehicle"
3) as part of the unlock step (presumably after it has unlocked from the vehicle?), FlashPro Manager dialog will ask if the user would like to unregister the FlashPro and delete all personal information and stored data. AGREE to this, the flashpro registration information is cleared and there's no registered owner listed.

BUT, after all these steps, the VIN number and other identifiable information remains stored under the "FlashPro" tab of the FlashPro window. It is not mentioned anywhere in the dialog that you should disconnect the FlashPro for step 3)

Is there some other step that's been missed?

by the way this information is showing with the FlashPro on the bench - it is not connected to the car at all. We unplugged it immediately after step 3) in the 2nd part above.

by plugging it in it records the last ECU info it was plugged into.
