After replacing some rocker assembly locking pins, my car initially ran well and I test drove it for around 45 minutes. During that time, I noticed an occasional CEL flash with a brief rpm drop and stumble, but the engine would recover. Once I returned home, the car shut off completely. Restart attempts led to the same cycle — it would idle, CEL flash, and then stall, often triggered by a quick throttle blip.
At one point when the car refused to start, I opened Kpro and changed the O2 sensor setting to disabled/open loop. Right after uploading that configuration, it fired up again. Still, no CEL codes are being recorded. It seems as though the ECU is losing and regaining power intermittently.
Setup: 1990 CRX with K20A2, Kpro V4, and Ktuned conversion harness. The car has been running nearly perfect for about a year. This issue only appeared after reassembling the head. Grounds are connected — one at the valve cover, plus another daisy-chained from the back of the valve cover to the timing cover and strut tower.
Has anyone experienced similar ECU power loss symptoms or have suggestions on what else I should check?
