Hey guys, hopefully im not asking you to beat a dead horse here, but im really struggling with closed loop here.
it seems to be hit and miss on these, ive done a few, im hardly a "honda tuner", usually standalone. Last hondata s300 i tuned, i simply turned on
closed loop after tuning the car in open loop, and it worked, pulling +-2% as it should.
Ive got an integra here, turbo, on s300, with 600cc injectors. I tuned it open loop and everything is within a few percent. Ive got an aem xuego run to the o2 input of the ecu. I have the brown wire grounded at signal ground. i have spot on readings at the ecu confirming gauge reads same as ecu.
The second i make the change from open to closed loop, it goes to 10 afr, HOWEVER it is not showing as a long or short trim. It will do the same if i set the trim values to 0%. I also tried it in o2 voltage target, around 3.1v (stoich on this gauge). same results. If i trim the fuel out, and lets say make it a bit lean, it will NOT add any fuel or correct in any way.
my map is attached if anybody sees something i dont. I always seem to have issues with closed loop on these, either going instantly lean when its enabled, to this now going full rich when enabled.
Thanks in advance
Closed loop issues on s300
Re: Closed loop issues on s300
You should use D10 as the input for a wideband as D14 cannot see the full voltage range.
Re: Closed loop issues on s300
ok, i can check that out. Will that typically piss it off?
I likely need to check if the resistors mentioned in the help are there?

Re: Closed loop issues on s300
You should make sure you do what the help file says.
Re: Closed loop issues on s300
Alright well that was annoying
Removed resistors mentioned in manual. Moved wideband over to eld input. Car became a bit richer without even enabling closed loop. Anyways scaled the fuel back and enabled closed loop and it started functioning as intended. I did have to scale a bunch of the low map and a bit of the vtec map to get things back where I had them. But it’s working now.
Can anybody from hondata explain why this is ? What is happening in the background to explain why so much work is required to make the function work. I plan to check closed loop functionality before tuning any future cars because of this one.
Thanks !
