Just installed my hybrid racing intake and the idle is horrible, checked everywhere for leaks but everything is nice, tight & secure. Just ran a map based base tune as advised by some people in the community & it idles fine now, but noticed what felt like fuel cut in vtec so I gently drove it home & now worried about moving forward. Unfortunately there’s no one locally that can tune my car where I live, Could anyone help me smooth out a nice tune? Would be greatly appreciated! 😊

Post the calibration you are running and a datalog. I can look it over and let you know how its running. It possible the car is running lean when going into Vtec.

It’s currently running so horrible that I would prefer to not drive the car in its current state! Is there anyway you may have a safe basemap for my current mods & we could go from there? Sorry to be a bother & thank you for your help!

I suggest you run a Hondata calibration with the mods closes to yours. This would give you a good base to work with. It possible it needs slight modifications to get it running ok. Thus why i asked for the tune you are running and a datalog. I would help you with the changes needed.

If that does not work and you need to drive the car. I suggest you put the stock intake back on until you can get the car properly tuned.

Only issue I had with the base tune was a horrible idle, just didn’t want to take it out as I’d probably have trouble in traffic & live in a very busy area. I’ll try my best to get a datalog for you! Should I make sure that I switch the tune to map instead of maf? In the Hondata base tunes, it doesn’t come up as seperate for me, but I can alter the pentameters in calibration obviously. Thanks!

Not sure if this may help but when I was N/A , I hade full bolt one Skunk2 Intake headers, exhaust. When I first put on the intake it idled and drove horribly, I searched up a solution and for my specific mod list, hondata had a base map for it but it’s a MAP based tune . Meaning that the ecu would be reading of the MAP more then the actual MAF sensor . Not sure if it was ideal or even good for the car but it worked for me and it idled and drove beautifully. Like I said I’m not sure if this may help it may be just my luck but you can try it under the calibration category, if you scroll down all the way to the bottom and find MAP based tunes and find the appropriate one for your car and try it on it may work Good luck in your endeavors!
