I encountered an SCS Service warning on the instrument cluster when connecting my Hondata FlashPro OBDII Interfacing Module to my 2019 Civic 1.5Turbo(2019 China). Here is the full sequence:

Initial Incident:
Last week, I removed a fuse from the under-dash fuse box while the vehicle was powered on (ignition in ON position). This caused the instrument cluster to lose power. After reinstalling the fuse, my custom ECU calibration was erased, and the ECM reverted to the factory program.

Diagnostics:
A Honda dealership performed a full scan and confirmed:

No hardware damage or fault codes (DTCs) present.

All systems passed functional checks.

FlashPro Issue:
When attempting to reflash the ECU using the FlashPro:

Step 1: Connecting only the FlashPro to the OBDII port triggers an "SCS Service" warning on the dash.

Step 2: Connecting the FlashPro to a laptop while linked to the OBDII port makes the warning disappear. ECU flashing then proceeds normally.

Cross-Verification:
I tested the same FlashPro on another 10th-gen Civic . The "SCS Service" warning appeared again under the same conditions.

Troubleshooting Attempt:

Updated the FlashPro to the latest firmware → issue persists.

Confirmed proper OBDII port voltage (12.6V).

Conclusion:
Evidence suggests a potential hardware fault in the FlashPro unit itself, as the problem replicates across multiple compatible vehicles.

What fuse was removed?

Removing a fuse will not change the ECU programming.

The root incident began when I disconnected the hardwired power tap connector for my dashcam from the under-dash fuse box while the ignition was ON. This caused:

Immediate instrument cluster blackout.
Transmission lockout (unable to shift gears).
After reconnecting the fuse tap:

The vehicle started normally and could drive.
I confirmed my custom ECU calibration was erased (ECM reverted to factory program).
Critical Symptoms When FlashPro Connected:

SCS Service warning appears on the dash.
Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) PA U0100 stored (Lost Communication with ECM/PCM).
Transmission gear indicator flashes with no position displayed.
Severe performance limitation:
Acceleration restricted ("limp mode").
Vehicle only operates at minimal speed.
Dealership Intervention & Testing:

Honda dealership cleared DTC U0100 → SCS Service warning remained, but vehicle became drivable.
Gear position indicator still failed to display (no DTCs present after clearance).

Identical symptoms occurred when connecting the same FlashPro to another 10th-gen Civic (FC/FK chassis).
Suspected Issue:
The FlashPro appears to be triggering a communication fault state between the ECM and TCM (Transmission Control Module), potentially due to:

A latched hardware error within the FlashPro unit.
Protocol disruption during prior power loss events.

With everything plugged in and the ignition in the on position, go to the Help menu and click on “send feedback”. Include a detailed description of the issue.

Removing a fuse cannot change the ECU programming or make it go back to stock.
