K24a into 05 RSX-S

Post by Grs22 »

Hello, I am looking for some insight on this swap. I want to help a friend out with his build The car has a k24a (basically k24a2) swapped into 05 rsx type s, the mods are:

-aftermarket exhaust, headers, intake manifold adapter with prb intake , stock rsx-s Throttle body, stock rsx injectors and fuel rail, 05 rsx-s transmission, kpro v4 (PPL ecu)-wants to install a skunk2 intake

- he says the car drives fine on the stock rsx-s ecu but when he loaded a base tsx map the car started acting up, not shifting properly, drove like crap…

Should he switch to stock tsx RBB manifold instead of PRB?

How do I help him to get the stock tsx base map to work properly? I hear some people experienced knocking due to running lean so do I adjust fuel/run a closed loop on kpro

Is it possible to daily drive with stock tsx base map safely? can he drive it fine with out a professional tune ?

is anyone willing to share a tune that would work for this setup ?

You can try different calibration to see what works best as a starting point, but it will probably need custom tuning on the dyno.

Shifting should have nothing to do with the calibration as it has no control over the transmission.

I suggest you start with a stock TSX calibration and adjust it accordingly. If you post the file and a datalog I can help get it to run safe until you can get it properly tuned.
