First FlashPro Calibration for FK8 – Base Map Suggestions for Invidia R400 & PRL Intake?

Post by kadibenalla »

I’m new to tuning and just got my FlashPro for my 2020 Civic Type R (FK8). The car currently has an Invidia R400 cat-back and PRL High Volume Intake (street version) installed — everything else is stock for now.

I’ve been going through the calibration options in FlashPro Manager, but I’m a bit overwhelmed with all the choices. I’m looking for a safe and reliable base map to start with — ideally something that takes advantage of my current bolt-ons but keeps things conservative until I learn more.

A few questions:
  • Is there a specific calibration that’s recommended for my setup?
  • Should I be using the +6 psi map as a starting point or is that too aggressive?
  • Any tips for datalogging or parameters I should be watching closely on first runs?
Appreciate any advice or shared experiences. Still very new to this, so trying to take it slow and do things right.
Thanks in advance!

Click the New Calibration button, select your vehicle from the list and click on the Calibration Wizard tab and choose what applies to you and upload the calibration to the ECU.
