hondata im gasket/heatshield

Post by fergy016 »

I was expecting to get some nylon washers with my gasket. Are they supposed to come with the gasket or has hondata stopped including them in the package?
I was wondering what the part # for the street gasket was for a 98 acura integra gs-r. I am not sure if I ended up with the race gasket or the street version.

We discontinued supplying washers several years ago - they were too difficult to torque correctly and are of little benefit.

You can tell a race gasket as it does not have the water passage for the heater outlet.

can I just cut a hole in it?
I am local to www.modacar.com, they cannot order the street version of the intake manifold gasket for some reason. I was just wondering where and how big should the hole be?

is the only difference between the street/race version just a whole in the gasket. If so is there a diagram to show where the hole should be.

The race version blocks off [i.e. - doesn't have holes] coolant passages that run through the IM.
