Hello
I recently purchased a second hand, unused S300 on a P28 ECU.
Upon connecting to the car, and powering up, I was requested to upgrade the firmware. That Was successful.
I then registered but still not able to upload or data log. I tried in another known goo car with a stock engine harness etc (obd1 p06) and still the same issue.
S manager shows "driver installed" and online, even if the car is off and I can see the red light flashing on the board the same if the ECU is completely disconnected.. is that normal / expected? I can't see anywhere online that states it should be.
I want to run this in an obd2A car (b16B) that is running rywire obd2a engine harness with obd1 plugs this runs the standard PCT ECU with a conversion harness without issue.

S300 Issues and a few questions
Re: S300 Issues and a few questions
Is jumper J12 cut inside the ECU?
Re: S300 Issues and a few questions
Yes, J12 has been removed.
Can you confirm if I should be able to see it online in Smanager with it unplugged from the car ?

Re: S300 Issues and a few questions
It will show online but will not allow you to upload unless the ECU is plugged in and the ignition is on.
Re: S300 Issues and a few questions
Okay. That’s good to know, I can only set registration info.
I am not able to upload a map when the ignition is on, I’ve tried this on two cars, one 92-95 civic obd1 without any modifications to loom and it’s a known good car. And one 96-98 obd2A civic with a rywire harness as per my original post.
I wondered if it took a while to fully register with Hondata servers or something?

Re: S300 Issues and a few questions
I have sent one in. I am based in the UK. The ECU was purchased originally through Tegiwa in the UK.Spunkster wrote: Tue Apr 22, 2025 2:42 pm Send an email to supports <at> hondata.com with the following and I will issue an RMA and give you further
