Hesitation After Engine Braking – Lean Condition on Throttle Reapplication

Post by leetune »

Hi everyone,

I'm encountering a hesitation issue when transitioning from deceleration to acceleration. During engine braking at approximately 2800 RPM, the ignition timing is around 12°, injector duty cycle is 0%, AFR reads 2.00, and the throttle pedal is at 0%. When I press the accelerator, between 2900 and 3100 RPM, the ignition timing increases from 31° to 48°, injector duty cycle rises to 8%, AFR drops to 1.30, and throttle pedal position reaches 24%. This results in a lean condition and noticeable hesitation during acceleration.

Has anyone experienced a similar problem or have suggestions on how to adjust the overrun fuel cut settings to prevent this hesitation? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

The car is a 2014-2015 US Civic Si with a turbo setup, running on E85.

Post the calibration used as well as a datalog showing the issue.

What time stamp in the datalog are you seeing this?
