Hi, I have a '94 Integra GSR, JRSC 10.8psi with a S200.

I trie diferent maps to have one that I can use as a base for tunning, but I have a problem in the RPM reading in all:

- :?: At 5,000 rpm I have a little jump at little trothle, it is solve pushing the trothle a little more.

- :!: At 6,000 rpm my rpm gauge start to be crazy, it start to jump 500 rpm up or down, and at 7,000 rpm it start making jumps that can go to 3,000 rpm and return to the reading. In this situation, the car can't pass 7,400 rpm (I have the rpm limit set in 9,200 and boost cut at 12.5psi)

I need help and ideas to make a troubleshuting.

Thanks in advance,

Dariusz

I am betting you were messing with your timing at your distributor, because I have a 94 teg and all it was is that I forgot to tighten the dist. bolts all the way down and when you step on the gas the distributor rotates a little bit. Since the RPM pickup is in the distributor and it is rotating plus the cam otating it thinks it is either a really high / low RPM.

1. it's VERY dangerous under boost as you are actually retarding and advancing the ignition timing very rapidlly and very drastically.
2. Actually it's dangerous period, for any motor.

Check to make sure that's not it, I hope that's all it is. It sounds like that's all it is and it's VERY easy to fix, just have a handy 12mm box wrench and three bolts to tighten.

Hope this helps. :)

Hey dude check your distributor for good ground I had the same problem and I took a wire brush cleaned all the bolt faces on the distributor also on the head. Now it works great!
