H22a euro r swap help

Post by bcpittman81 »

Hi all. I have recently swapped my f22a1 for jdm h22a euro r. Car cranks up and runs on the h22 basemap but has very poor performance. I used h22a1 distributor. 2 wire iacv/w adapter plate. Also used obd1 egr as the obd2b egr was a different design. I have it running on p28 with hondata. I was able to use the euro r injectors as well with the f22 fuel rail with rosko adapter. Can't figure out what exactly my issue is. Any help or ideas are welcome and appreciated. Thanks

Has it been properly tuned on the dyno since swapping engines?

You'll need to get it tuned on a dyno. In the meantime, Give this a shot.

No it has not been tuned. I just got swap done and got wideband and ecu wired up. Car starts up and idles so good. I can even rev it up and down smoothly and it sounds really good. But when I go to drive it 1st gear pulls ok and anything past that it just gets boggy and jerky. I went from a 3 wire iacv to a 2 wire with rosko adapter plate. I just capped off the main air injection port instead of pulling intake off and plugging air injection holes individually. I figured with the main capped off that would be fine. You think this could be my issue? I appreciate the calibration man I will try it and see

Hello. I uploaded the map and tried running it but car idled so bad I shut it off and reuploaded the hondata h22 map at bottom of list. It cranks and runs really good with that one hell even 1st gear pulls descent. Anything after that though and the performance is just not there. I'm researching and weighing out my options. I feel like it's a matter of adjusting the hondata map to suite my engines needs to run efficiently. I say this because of how good it runs and doesn't run with different maps

Ok I ended up ditching jdm fuel rail and euro r injectors for regular h22 high impedance injectors and tried map again and car ran so much better. Thanks I really appreciate your help
